5 games worth getting in June

June looks like it will be a great month for gamers! There are two great fighting games lined up in a addition to a range of other releases. To top it all off, Dead by Daylight is even getting a console release next month! This is one month you really don’t want to miss out on. As always, there’s a short list of additional noteworthy games being released this coming month at the end of the article so make sure you check them out too!

Tekken 7

It’s a new Tekken game. Do I really need to say anything more? Alright then, fine. Based on the demos, Tekken 7 is set to be one of the best Tekken games ever released. Even if the game lacks Roger the boxing kangaroo for a silly reason. For those who don’t know, the character was removed from the game after that video of a man punching a kangaroo to save his dog went viral. As an animal right activist and gamer, I think this was a stupid move. Hopefully the lovable Roger will be making a return as a DLC character in a few months time. For now however, Tekken 7 should be an amazing fighting game.

Dead by Daylight

This game has been out on PC for almost a full year now and the developers are finally bringing the game to consoles. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners will be able to jump into the terrifying arena horror game where four surivors attempt to survive against a killer. It’s uncertain how much of the game will be released to console players as there have been several new killers and survivors added to the game since it was released. Hopefully Behaviour Digital will clear this up before the game is released. Either way, Dead by Daylight is a great game so it’s nice to see a console release for what’s become a classic Twitch game.

Arms

The Nintendo fighting game is almost here! The unique fighting game will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and should provide one more reason to purchase the relatively new console. Arms features a unique style of combat where characters have extendable arms which are used to attack and defend. There’s an Open Beta coming very soon next month so anyone interested in this game should check it out. We should also be posting our impressions on the game later next month so stay tuned till then!

Hacktag

So we included this game in our article from last month but it looks like the game was delayed slightly. We did get to play the Open Beta for the game and it was a lot of fun. It’s a very difficult game that feels rewarding and worth playing. It’s a stealth co-op game where two players must work together to complete the mission which is to steal a certain amount of data from a target company. Each player has a designated role and unique gameplay as a result. In addition to this, the game is asymmetrical as players can select from a range of skills to equip. It’s a pretty entertaining game and we should have more articles on this game coming soon.

GoreScript

This may be a modern game but it feels exactly like a classic FPS. It plays in a fashion similar to the original Doom games and feels very old-school which is great to see as many games in this genre struggle to do this. Players must race through the levels, blasting monsters with a range of weapons and collecting keys to open new rooms. There is a demo of this game which you can find here or you could also check out our review of the demo here.
